It’s all about aesthetics, simplicity, design, elegance… usability matters

In the web or app development, interaction with the user interface design should always be natural, and the navigational elements and call-for-action should make sense immediately. Branding elements such as colors, shapes and fonts should be consistent throughout. This not only strengthens the brand identity but gives the user a clear idea of what they can interact with.

UX and UI…understanding the difference…

“User Experience” encompasses all aspects of the end-user’s interaction with the company, its services, and its products. User experience needs to meet the exact needs of the customer, clearly and directly. Next comes the simplicity and elegance of a custom design that produces a meaningful and engaging experience. Everything in design comes together here – engineering, marketing, graphic and industrial design, and interface design.

User Experience Design

In my design process I am going beyond aesthetics and functionality, I equally focus on user experience (UX).

Some of the benefits of improving user experience include increased customer loyalty, higher conversion rates, lowered abandon rates and even decreased customer service requests. While the benefits are great, the concept of good user experience can be a bit fuzzy.

There’s no magic formula or set of rules for designing a website that provides an excellent UX design. It’s really all about focusing on the fundamentals and defining user personas. You can’t just copy and paste the same elements of another platform that scores high in UX. I have to pay attention to the most important source of information, which are your users. I really have to go out on a limb and start testing random elements that you feel can work well for your design.

User behaviour will ultimately determine which design provides the best experience.

UX Design

With an interactive approach to information architecture and data visualization, ideal pathways are created. The results are a defined approach to the customer experience and conversion.

UI Design

In favor of ideal user pathways, the UI design is preferably concise featuring strategically mapped journeys and micro-interactions through information architecture and data visualization.

An authentic and frictionless experience is created with content delivery, conversion, and the brand story in mind. Contextual design and accessibility is the focus here

Designing a Great User Interface

Designing Sites & apps for Better User Experience.

I know how much work is involved when it comes to designing a great user interface. I always start by studying the target user and the goal of the app before anything else. I then start by coming up with ideas on how to deliver a great user experience and meet the goal of the app.

The ideas are translated into a framework where it is organized into an information architecture built to provide a fluid, relevant and intuitive experience.

The next step is to deliver a great user experience. The goal is to make the app organized, engaging, clean, quick and understandable.

I want the user to have full use of the app without any constraints. And there is no assumption that the design delivered the great user experience I originally sought out.
